This week I went to the dentist to get the crown fitted for my root canal…

I think that’s what I’m supposed to say

Ma if it’s not I’m sorry lmao that’s what makes sense to me

I’m bout to get the crown on the tooth that had a root canal

They went inside the tooth and made a bigger canal to suck out the root of my tooth, take out the decay, put a filling in that and now I’m bout to get a crown put on the tooth that had a root canal lmao

⁃ my mom works in dentistry and every time I talk about the procedure she says I’m explaining/ saying it wrong but to me it’s potato/ potato ( pronounced the same)

Getting this procedure done on my adult tooth made me visualize adulthood

Seeing my guy Nev from Catfish in a neck brace because of an accident he had while biking

A few months earlier, my guy Gordon Ramsey had an accident on a bike as well. He was left with a super duper massive purple and blue bruise on his chest and rib cage…

These events and many more has snapped adult hood in my eyes

The feeling of being invisible

The feeling that nothing can touch me

And if it does- it won’t be permanent

Has left the building

Things now seem to be more permanent

Adulting… Growing Up

No longer being a kid anymore. Dreaming beyond the stars, the moon and the galaxy. The innocence of it no longer seems to be in reach because now you know all of the obstacles you have to tackle and get through to get to the first set of the endless finish lines.

I’m not trying to be like DOOMS DAY IS COMING.

No, not at all

As an adult we can do anything

We can gift our self the concert tickets for a show we desperately wanted to see as a kid but weren’t able to see because our parents couldn’t afford it

We can be chopping our vegetables for a salad and allow our intuitive thoughts to take over and just bite into the cucumber lmao (I saw a lady do that on Tik Tok lol)

I walked through my nephew’s school with my sister and saw all of the little kiddos who may be his classmates. I spoke with his teachers and feeling their excitement for the new school year to start rubbed off on me.

Sitting at the desk that’s too small for my long legs captured me in the time frame of little Sabryn excited to meet her new teacher for the year.

English was my favorite hour of school because my teachers would read the most adventurous books and we would have writing assignments that allowed my world of fantasy to be unlocked and explored

Homework assignments said one page story and I would raise my hand and ask, “Is it okay if I write more than that?”

Lmaooooo

Kids would hate it but I ain’t care lol I got shits to say

Been a writer since I popped out the vagina lmaoo

I was talking to a schoolmate from high school and they said something that hit the bullseye

“I thought my quarter life crisis would end once I turned 26 but nope I’m still in it!”

“Same” I yelled back to them

As a kid, no matter how many times I changed my mind on what I was going to do as an adult I always had a plan. A to Z with multiple back up plans.

Now, I’m not even lost in the sauce. I don’t know what ingredients I need to make the sauce. At this point I’m just chopping shit up in hopes and in prayer it comes out looking like something I can work with.

I’m just looking for the break through from somewhere… anywhere.

Days are ticking by and…

Working on Naked Truth makes me feel like a productive human being lol

It’s something I enjoy and it’s mine. Something no one can take away from me.

Being an adult, everything is now accessible but at times things seem to be out of reach.

I’m new to this but I think when that feeling comes over, that’s where faith, hope and prayer to whoever or whomever comes into play.
