I ate a chocolate cookie to give me energy to write this. 

I am so tired 

Yesterday I went to see Coco Jones in concert. 

She had TA Thomas and Lady London open up for her. 

TA Thomas is an artist that’s from the Mississippi Delta (Sinners lol and he was dressed like Smoke too lol) He’s a church boy and he sounds liked it too. 

He did a great job. 

Sang to the ladies in the front row. He brought Monique Samuels from Potomac Housewives to the stage and serenaded her. 

It was sweet.

A little cringe worthy to me because it was just too damn sweet. Like omg. I wanna be serenaded to by a handsome fellow. Please and thank you. 

Lady London was cool. She has such a light voice that the tech man had to turn up her mic a few times. 

I’m not a fan of her music, to be honest, but she got the crowd rocking. 

She threw roses into the crowd. It was cute. 

By the concert being on a Wednesday after work, I was so ready to see Coco. 

Where is Coco?

I wanna sing the songs.

I wanna sing her songs. 

Finally, she came on stage, and boy, does she make a presence. 

A sparkling blue corset and sparkling blue leggings. Her dancers in blue jumpsuits. 

Her visuals reminded me of visuals from the Renaissance tour by Beyoncé. The clouds floating through the sky sucked you in and made you feel as though you were Superman. 

It set the tone of her performance. 

It was a nice touch and needed one because TA and Lady didn’t set a tone visually.

To make it feel whole, a visual presence would’ve been the icing on the cake. Make it feel well-rounded, but hey… they were the opening act. Can’t steal the shine from the main act. But, if you got it, you can never steal somebody’s shine, right? 

Coco did her thing. 

Her songs are catchy. I appreciate how her album is about being all about somebody, being heartbroken and realizing you have to put yourself first. 

Im a little tired of all the “toxic” music. Every now and again I don’t mind some lover girl music. 

And I don’t think I have to say….

Her new album is good. You should give it a listen.
