I’m in bed…

On social media and texting. 

I’m tired

But not because my day has been long or stressful

My body is tired 

It’s been tired for the past 2 weekends. 

What if it’s getting ready for GEMINI SEASONNN!!!! Ahhhh!!!!!! I get so damn hype for this season!!! Ahhhh

So, yes, get with the program! 

“Okay sooooo Sabryn you talking about Gemini season coming as if you didn’t go ghost the past 2 days.”

Okay, let me tell you what was happening 

Friday I went to Durand Bernarr concert and it was so damn good

I knew he was gonna give us a good show, but man, the show was AMAZING!

I love how he is his 100% self. He is eccentric, loving, energetic, proud, so confident and can sing his off!!!

He and his band came out with white t-shirts and overalls! 

His band was feeling the music. 

Dancing while playing the guitar. Bopping their head while drumming. It was a whole vibe. Felt like being in the studio creating music that fills you with life!

(The one in the pattern shirt is Durand Bernarr. He did this complication of his time on the Terrell show (one in the white shirt) It was hilarious!!!!! Had all the little songs Durand has made up on that show)

He came out saying he needs to be called a Grammy-nominated artist!!! Mind you, he is an INDEPENDENT ARTIST!!! 

Okay, no label! Just him, baby!

Betting on himself, and he is seeing the fruit!

What do they say, seeing the fruit from his seed? The mustard seed? Anyooo, he is seeing his hard work pay off

He played music from his E.P. album… excuse me- he played music from his Grammy Nominated E.P. Album En Route. 

That album.. each and every song had the concert hall vibrating with good loving energy! Everyone is singing from the top of their lungs! Or maybe that was me hearing myself sing lmaoooo

Monday, I had to do my hair, work out, and cook. 

I feel like that’s self-explanatory on why I didn’t post.

I had a very wonderful conversation with someone I go to for advice and to just talk to at times. 

They said something to me that has been sticking with me. 

They said something along the lines…

“Life gets hard. You have to make sure you schedule joy.”

They said something like that…

That stuck with me because, as I’m coming into adulthood, things are not getting easier. Things are more complex. It seems to get a head you have to make a sacrifice of some sort.

Things happen that you can’t expect to happen and set you back. 

It sucks major ass. Can make you want to give up and quit.

Those are the times we need to schedule joy. It helps the hard moments don’t feel so hard. When you schedule joy and life is hard. It gives you something to look forward to.

Schedule joy in your life. 

It helps you remember this is what living is for. 

Okay, that’s me saying that lol. 

But if you’re not enjoying life, you gotta turn it around. 

We put meaning into everything. Nothing has meaning in the grand scheme of things. Society and we as a people put meaning on things around us. To make sense of things. Can we make sense of the importance of enjoying life? 

You deserve to treat yourself to that damn cookie. You deserve to go on that vacation you’ve had your eyes on. Go ahead and ask that person out. Go ahead and dress up and eat at that restaurant. 

Go ahead and enjoy.

Every day we are on this planet is a blessing. 

I don’t wanna be 60 years old and wish I did xyz. I just wanna do it. 

So enjoy life. 

At the end of your day, take a moment and do something you enjoy. 

I know I try my best to do so.
